3,264 Candidates Issued ITAs in Recent Express Entry Draw
Canada invites 3,264 potential permanent residents who were picked from the Express Entry pool on August 2, 2017. The candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of 441 points and above were issued Invitations to Apply (ITA) in this year’s 18th Express Entry draw. As with the previous draws, candidates with diverse backgrounds and credentials but who met the minimum CRS were those invited to apply for permanent residence.
The next Express Entry draws appear to be promising for those who remain in the pool as the target intake of applicants for 2017 is yet to be reached. The cut-off threshold for the August 2 draw was only one point higher than that in the July 12 draw, and is expected to go down in the coming months. This creates an optimistic stance for applicants who hope to be drawn from the Express Entry pool.
Since there is no clear trend on who receives an ITA, candidates in the pool are encouraged to increase their total CRS score by working on factors like Language, Education, and Work Experience.
